Related Parameters Of Resin Lenses
Sep 11, 2017

Refractive index

is the ratio of the lens to the transmission light angle of the incident light and the angle of the incident light. The value is generally between 1.49-1.74. In the same degree, the higher the refractive index, the thinner the lens, but the higher the refractive index of the material, the greater the dispersion.

Scratch resistance

The extent to which the surface of the lens is damaged by external force. The scratching of the lens is an important factor affecting the service life and visual effect of the lens. Domestic commonly used friction fog value (Hs), the value is generally between 0.2-4.5, the lower the better. The Bayer method is used in foreign countries, the value is between 0.8-4, the higher the better. Generally referred to the hard resin lens, its scratch resistance than the general resin lens better.

UV Cutoff Rate

Also known as UV value, is to evaluate the effective lens blocking ultraviolet radiation of the important indicators. The value must be greater than 315nm, generally greater than 350nm and less than 400nm. The UV400 lenses that are often heard in the glasses shop can effectively block ultraviolet radiation. In addition, the resin lens can be added to prevent radiation film.

Transmittance

The ratio of the projected light and the amount of incident light of the lens. The higher the transmittance, the clearer the lens.
