Main types of spectacle lenses

The types of lenses are broadly divided into: anti-reflective protective lenses, color lenses, painting lenses, polarized lenses and color-changing lenses and other five.

Anti-reflective protective lenses

This lens is coated with a thin layer of magnesium fluoride on the surface to prevent glare, allowing you to see things more clearly and without interference from strong light. To test whether your glasses are really using anti reflective protective lenses, glasses can be aligned to the light source, if you see purple can be green reflective, it means that the lens is indeed coated with reflective protective film.

Color Lenses

Also known as "stained Lenses", is in the lens production process, coupled with some chemicals, so that the lens rendering color, to absorb the specific wavelength of light. This is the most commonly used lens type for sunglasses.

Painting Lenses

The effect of this lens is the same as the color lens, it is only made in a different way, it is painted on the surface of the lens, the most well-known is the "gradually layered painting lenses", the color is the top of the above, and then gradually shallow. Most of the sunglasses that have a degree are usually painted with lenses.

Polarizer Film

In order to filter the sun in the water, land or snow on the equal direction of the dazzling light, on the lens to add a vertical special coating, called polarizer. Best for outdoor sports (e.g., sea activities, skiing or fishing).

Color Lens

Others are also called "photosensitive lenses". Because of the addition of silver halide chemicals in the lens, so that the original transparent colorless lenses, when exposed to strong light, will become colored lenses, to do protection, so is suitable for indoor and outdoor use at the same time.
